Mitsubishi UFJ Escalates Spat With Manager Alleging Harassment

Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co. told a manager at its equity sales group that his recent public statements accusing the firm of harassment may have damaged its reputation and warned that it may take action against the employee.

In a letter to lawyers for the manager, Glen Wood, the brokerage said his comments to the press may have breached company rules. It will investigate his behavior and take proper action if needed, according to the Nov. 10 document, which was seen by Bloomberg News. The firm didn’t specify what kind of action it might pursue.
